6.4 delay compensation

Am I right in believing that if I fork out $150 for 6.4 upgrade I get plugin delay compensation? What about buss delays??? This more of a pain to me as I mix in 5.1 and buss stuff all over the place. Do I have to have 10.3 to run 6.4? Or can I get away with 10.2.8? It doesn't make it clear. Cheers Derf

Yes, I have to agree with Steins.. I've been using 6.4 all weekend, and it rocks!! Actually, the upgrade to panther was very quick and painless. The first time I applied A.D.C to a mix I was working on that had nearly 90 tracks, went without a hic-up.. My HDaccel sys is smokin'.. Digi did a great job on this one. Rob

RE: 6.4 delay compensation

Anyone happen to know how much (if any) extra DSP does ADC use in 44.1 sessions? (32 and 64 voice) Thanks!

RE: 6.4 delay compensation

You have two delay compensation settings actually: one that can handle a tad over 1000 samples of delay per channel, and one that can compensate for a bit over 4000 samples. Obviously, the second setting takes more DSP, so you should (in all likelihood) mentally budget around 20-22% DSP hit for a large session with the 4000 setting. That kind of hit is peanuts when compared to the benefit S..

If I remember right the target overhead was more like 10% using the 4096 engine. S
