ReaGate is great! Having separate "wet" and "dry" level controls is amazing and allows for some creative keyed gated effects by a single plugin. However, I often struggle with using it when I only need small level of gating (not a complete rejection), I know one can figure that out by adjusting both "wet" and "dry", but still it would be easier to have a separate "range" control to dial needed rejection level. With separate "wet", "dry" and "range" controls it would be a swiss army knife among the gates!
I agree and would love a range control. I always struggle, nudge the wet, nudge the dry, nudge the wet, ........ Range, pull it down, 20 dB, thank you. +1
Agreed, this is how every gate *should* work. It's certainly how all my rack gates work when I'm running live sound. Though really, I far prefer the sound of a downward expander to a gate, I wish Reaper shipped with one of those.
I went back and read the post again, but I don't think he did. He referred to the seperate wet and dry faders on the plug, but I'm referring to the wet/dry knob reaper provides on all vst.
