I am really glad when I see senior citizens getting involved with this kind of technology. Cue files r just control files for a bin image that should be burned. ie u have an image.cue and an image.bin. U r using the image.cue to burn the image.bin file, that should be close to 700mb in length. Lets assume that u have already done so and your cd1 is playing perfectly. This means that u should be able to watch its contents in your standalone? Isn't it? How big is your image2.bin?
Hi Oddyseus thanks for replying yes I can play my first burn cue cd1 on my stand alone dvd player when I click on the first cue file cd1 the size is 504 bytes but on the cue file cd2 its 573 bytes and when i try to burn it nero says the disk is to small or words to that effect. kimo
To use an anology, the CUE file is kind of like a table of contents. The BIN file is the book. To make the analogy even stronger, rip the table of contents out of a book, then write the name of the book on it. Now the table of contents is separate from the book, but it tells you what book it's for and what is in the book. When you burn a BIN/QUE with burning software, you point it to the CUE file. The CUE file tells the software the name of the BIN file and instructs the software what to burn where on the CDR (kind of). I like analogies. Hope that helps.

A 90 min. CD-R blank will do in your case, sometimes they are easier to find in shops. Note that Nero will recognize these as 80 min. only, you will have to allow overburning. If you are unsure if your cd writer supports overburning, you may want to have a look at this database: (click on "CD Writer database").
To tell the Windows Explorer to always show you filetypes, those 3 letters after the "." in a filename, use the Tools...Folder Options command, which pops up an options window. Click the "View" tab (it's one of several), and clear the check box part way down that says, "Hide file extensions for known file types."

Anyway I am using DVD2SVCD ver1.2.1 build 3 TMPGEnc ver2.5 How do I restart the encodeing and what files do I encode. and r6d2 with 20 grandkids and 4 ggrandkids I have become the most patient guy in the world. lol my system is Athlon 2400+ 2.00GHZ 120GB H/D 256ddr ram winXP home if there is any thing else you need to help me please ask regards kimo
Well, that's OK for now. (The ini file is indeed the one you found). You're using an encoding mode called "Constant Quality", which may fail at getting the proper file size. If you want to reencode, do as I said on my previous post, and before pressing the continue button, go to the Encoder tab and set Rate Control Mode to "2 Pass VBR" and Motion search precision to "High Quality (slow)". Then go ahead with the continue button. Please remember to read the aforementioned guide to advice you along the setting for your next encode. Regards, kimosabi_5.
