Usually after 15 minutes into a session while recording midi, PT will crash and I'll have to restart my computer (as I'm playing notes, a note will get stuck and PT will freeze up). I'm using an m-audio 4x4 interface. Can anybody please help?? I'm desperate.
what midi device or sequencer are you using??? a good way to trouble shoot midi problems is to use the joystick port. its pretty stable and you can use it to find out if its your 4x4, your sequencer or PT itself. hope that helps ACK
I'm using Midiman midisport 2x2, sequencing with Protools 6.4. Another user made reference with the Midi Sport devices not being compatible with Protools 5.3.1 and higher. His suggestion was to using another midi interface box such as the emagic MT4. thanks
i have a midi man 2x2 and its implementation was seamless. as soon as installed PT 5.3.3 and created a midi track the input A and input B from the 2x2 were available for use. i have my triton in input B and a phatboy midi controller on input A that i use with reason ACK
hmmmmm, interesting. Sounds like my setup but, only I'm using 6.4. Well, I changed USB ports, uninstalled and reintalled the MIDIsport drivers and still the same problem occurs. Could this be a Protools 6.4 bug?

it may be a 6.4 bug, if it is id like to know coz im going to upgrade to 6.4 as soon as i get some extra loot, and it would suckif i couldnt use my trusty 2x2. you can try testing in another pogram like acid, or cakewalk sonar
