SUP format (HD) support into matroska?

Does anyone knows if there's any plan to support SUP directly into matroska? Cause converting SUP to SRT is still very problematic, especially for non-english languages... Thanks in advance for answers :)

I assume that MKV will eventually support HD Sup format if it currently supports VOBSUB. Is this a safe assumption or is there some unknown technical reason it won't work?
