I'll reinstall it again. I'm guessing I should first unintall separately the different programs that come in Auto GK? Uninstall Virtualdubmod, avisynth and Xvid. I got the Divx codec directly from their website. Before changing I will try to encode again and specifically note the error. I appreciate your help! Bill

RE: AviSynth and VDubMod Errors in Auto GK 2.40

Sorry for the delay... I re-ran Auto G/K. It made it through the first pass, but when using VirtualDub Mod... it gave this error... VirtualDubError AVIOutput: Access is Denied. When I go look at the pieces that were created I see the first pass output. I'm not sure what is happening. Can anyone tell me where logs are stored for AutoGK? I can't seem to locate them. I have not yet done my third uninstall/reinstall. Thanks Bill

Do you by any chance use Symantec AntiVirus?

Nope. I use Anti-Vir on my media PC. Should I shut it down while encoding?

I found the log for the run, but it doesn't seem to yield any helpful info about the error. Thanks, sqid-80! I turned off the Antivirus, changed the output directory and it worked!

billqs, Well this seems to be a common problem for various AV packages. At least Symantec, F-secure Internet Control and now Antivir (I guess) have been reported. Instead of turning off AV software (hmmm..) you could try this or directly from sourceforge . Changelog for VirtualDubMod 1.5.10.2 here , almost at the end of list. Regards, ezmohp

I might be wrong, but what if BeyondTV is checking the folder contents during the encoding as discussed here: . Please post your feedback.
