Alright AM, One thing that you have not posted is WHAT ARE YOU USING IT FOR. And why do you need it? IE: What are you pluging it to? A 002 I am assuming, but some people out there are using MBox stuff too. I am going with a 002. Now, why are you wanting 96K is the next question, but that can be a drawn out one indeed. I personally NEVER track at 96K and find it not useful in the LE realm as it kills my computer and quite frankly 48/24 is plenty for most ROCK applications. Now if it were a straight guitar and singer maybe, classical probably more so. ROCK, 48/24 into the APOGEE ROSETTA and you are set. So, again, what are you out to accomplish with this setup should be the question to ask yourself, and why. Please elaborate some to help us out on your goals with the setup. Thanks, Doc

RE: 1 or 2 channel a/d converters

ok sorry i havent posted what im trying to achieve! here goes got a band comming in and wanting to do some recording E.P - album not sure what they wanna do yet. Ive got a 002r which i will be recording. I have Hd system that i can get a hold of where i will be tracking my drums down. and the rest will be done at my place on the 002r. the session will be done in 96k because although it is a rock band thay will be adding in piano/violins etc.. plus i wanna see the quality difference for myself. so i need a 96k A/D pre amp to track vox in as the 002r mic pres arent so good for vox(so ive heard) plus i wanna extend my studio more. question wat do u mean 96k kills ur computer? the only thing that would kill it is the aviable space on you HDD you would 4times as much space than if u were trackin in 48 or 44.1
