MP3 Volume Still too Low

When I play my MP3 file after having bounced to disk, the volume is too low. It's a lot lower than the original AIFF file. I am still having trouble with this issue. I have tried bouncing to different formats to test, but it is only the MP3 format that is having this low volume issue. I really need to be able to bounce to disk as an MP3 at normal volume levels. I also tried boosting the gain of the track being bounced, and playing with the master fader as previously suggested. No luck. Please help. Thanks again.

RE: MP3 Volume Still too Low

Don't just "play" with the master fader, you gotta put a "limiter" or some plug in that "pumps" your mix up (alot at that).. I recommend the L2 (or now L3)-- If you aint got one of those, then something similar, and PUMP the hell outta the mix, then by the time it gets to the MP3 bounced file,, it should sound normal... Also remember MP3's just suck, so you may just be experiencing the results of the SMASHING, and convertion that happens when dealing with MP3's (Most Poopy to tha 3rd degrees) (he he) Also though,, maybe your settings for the MP3 bounce are set up all screwey... Double check all that, you know when you "bounce to disc" then when you choose "M Peg -Layer 3" (or whatever is for MP3), you get all these choices, make sure to choose all the BEST ones. It's to much to go through now, but try it, if it doesn't work still. or you cant figure it out,, feel free to email me and I guess I can fully walk you through some possiblities.. - - Hope This Helps --

RE: MP3 Volume Still too Low

(LOL) I know,, that is how I used to do it too.. BUT, why do it this way now ?? Mainly because there is about 100 more detailed options to take control of your MP3 in Pro Tools BTD... Plus, why bounce convert, to then just convert AGAIN ??(with iTunes, etc..) (and again with LESS options) ... And on top of all that: WE PAID $20.00 extra dollars to get that MP3 option in Pro Tools,,,, so why not use it ?? I'm sure there is not THAT much of a difference, but making a MP3 inside of Pro Tools is a little more PRO than the others (iTunes, toast, etc..) IMO....
