I'm using a mic to record my guitar going through line6 tone port. The fx I set in the tone port software do not get recorded? I can hear the FX when playing but they don't get recording. How do I record the FX?
Thanks that worked but when I render it and playback the file in anything except reaper and gear box it sounds nothing like the fx I applied. When I playback the file in reaper it sounds perfect also when I playback the file in gear box it sounds perfect. Winamp, and media player it sounds totally different (horrible sound). Any ideas?

Even stranger if I listen to it through headphones it sounds good. Tried this on two computers playing through speakers on computer through winamp it sounds like ass... play through headphones sound good like the recording.... wtf how do I fix this?
I'm a bit confused by this. Are you using the Toneport as your audio interface? Are both your headphones and your speakers connected to the outputs of your Toneport? But it doesn't fully explain why you have the effects on one and not the other. Pete
The PC audio card is the interface. The speakers are connected to this not the toneport. Their is fx but they just sound really bad.. It sounds good comming through the PC interface using headphones but not speakers. It doesn't make sense to me.
I wonder if this is a latency issue I've been reading about. The fx on this track that sounds bad is chorus. Reverb fx seems to sound ok through headphones and speakers. The chorus fx through speakers just sounds bad, the fx is there but sounds so bad through speakers. Through headphones sounds good. I've tried this on two computers same effect.... sounds good through headphones bad through speakers. Any ideas????
Do you happen to know what your PC audio card is. Maybe someone can help if they've got the same card. As an alternative, it might be worth trying your Toneport as your audio interface using settings similar to those shown below in Reaper preferences. Then you need to connect your speakers and headphones to your Toneport. Pete
