so i'm making a demo and i need my copy of amplitube 3 to distort the guitars. however, i have four guitar tracks, left and right for each guitar. but when reaper runs more than two tracks using amplitube it crashes or gets ridiculously slow. i've tried using effects on a different track and sending it to the track with the music but it's just not working. anyone have any advice?

RE: multiple amplitubes

Add it to one track - Right click on the clip, select "Apply Track FX as a new take" This will create a WAV with your amplitude effect on it. Remove the Amplitube from that track and put it onto the next and repeat. This way you only ever have one instance in your project I don't use amplitube so can't confirm whether this is a common issue.

Hello tpkemme and welcome to these forums. You'll find many helpful people here and a lot of useful information. Which version of AmpliTube are you using? Check out the CPU load, as derek.john.evans mentioned, and also the memory used each time you load another instance of AT. That could be where the problem lies. Then try out slap's suggestion.

Should probably also pimp up the Acme Bar gig amp sims...They are free and very good with a low load. I regularly have 3 or 4 running on my modest setup
