i use avi.net to make my conversions how do i save the xvid settings settings i am using so that they get used everry time, when i go check thme on occasion they are set to different things.
What do you mean? Save what XVID settings? The only 'xvid' settings you can choose are the size or bitrate and as that's dependant on what you load in it's hardly worth saving. Or am I missing something?

well i guess when i loaded autogk as wel it put a xvid directory in my start programs area of win xp ...everytime i go look at it its not at what i set it at...so if i hear your tone right avi.net has nothing to do with this it use xvid based on the options i selct in it.if this is correct could you please add DTS audio to your AWESOME program along with the ability to handle High Def Files(.ts,.tp)

what i think he means is that it would be useful if you could save changes in settings as the default settings so that you can set say the output size and then open every episode of what your encoding and quee up the job without having to change to output size or whatever everytime.

So this post is definatly not about xvid. Moving to the newbies forum where it should be. Also remember the fourm rules: especially rule 1, 3, 11 (thread bump post) and finally 12 (thread bump post). Please do us all a favor and respect the rules next time. Cheers Koepi

When I use avi.net (which I do all the time) I need to go in and set the codec to DivX and then set the video rate to 1100kbs. Set the audio the way I want it. Since I do this for every backup it would be great if AVI.NET would remember these settings. BTW: I have a class for storing parameters in a ini file using visual studio. It makes this job very, very easy.
