Hello, Im using madVR on MPC-HC. Very rarely on some videos I get these two horizontal lines through the screen. As far as I can tell it happens only with upscaled videos but not all upscaled videos. It doesnt happen with EVR. Upscaling is set to DXVA2. It doesnt happen with Lanczos for example. Any idea how to fix it? Here are two screenshots. It's quite hard to see, easier with moving image, you have to look carefully. Thanks!
Yes, as I mentioned in my first post, Lanczos doesnt have it, I havent tried others. The GPU in use is integrated intel 4400. I also have an additional Nvidia but I cant get it to switch to that and disabling the integrated from bios is not allowed... Dell...
is this a laptop or a desktop PC or with other word is it using nvidia optimus? if DXVA scaling is producing tearing in madVR and not in EVR (not EVR CP) than this looks like a madVR bug.
----------------------------------------- It's not speed that kills, it's the speed difference that does. Obviously you aren't going fast enough. Turning Benjamins into noise since 1997 I read a list of the 100 things you MUST do before you die. Funny, "Yelling 'HELP'" didn't make the list!
This is a laptop. Dont know what nvidia optimus is. How do I check? After further testing I realized that the tearing appears at both EVR and EVR CP, and also at madVR DXVA and Lanczos, even Bilinear. Basically everywhere. Its just that DXVA gives the sharpest image and that makes it the most obvious. At the other settings its much more difficult to spot. What does this tell us? :)
i guess this comes down to optimus. so i can't help you there i never used a optimus system and i don't plan on doing it. so someone with a optimus laptop could maybe help you changing the GPU i can't sorry.
