850 R re-maps

Hi have been looking to get an 850 R auto and want to have some form of performance chip/remap done to the vehicle. I was all up for having the RICA re-map done at VT after speaking with them on the phone I was very impressed with the knowledge they have. However I stumbled across the thread about VT and now am more confussed than ever. I know I want the upgrade done but what are my alternatives? I have tried to find similar threads but none seem to highlight a particular brand/garage. I am based in Essex but am happy to travel to get the right job. What have you had done to yours and would you recommend the garage that did it? Your comments are greatly appreciated. Cheers, Andy

make sure your box is in top nick before you have the map because it can only deteriorate once you have the map and will do so quicker than it would if you didn't have it mapped.

John C thank you for clarification of the issue with VT, tbh I really was geared up for the RICA anyway it seems most popular/spoken about. Tbh its likely I will still go to VT for the RICA upgrade if as you say it is an off the shelf map. :Banane32:
